Shipping Forklift Operator ($26.36) 3rd Shift Only

3rd Shift: 11pm – 7am M-F. Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods.

About the role

Safely operate a sit-down powered industrial truck (PIT) at the Tampa Box Plant (6706 N 53rd St, Tampa, FL 33610).

Responsibilities

• Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and prepare items for shipment
• Load and unload trailers
• Complete pre-start PIT maintenance inspection report
• Follow proper trailer loading and unloading lock-out/tag-out procedure
• Complete receiving report to accurately record materials received; submit after trailer is unloaded
• Complete load sheet to accurately record grades, bale count, loading start/stop times for finished goods on outbound shipments; submit at completion of shipment
• Understand and follow load pattern according to trailer or rail cart
• Follow all safety rules and practices at all times
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years PIT experience
• Previous PIT operating experience in an industrial manufacturing or other labor-intensive environment
• Background as an order picker preferred
• Corrugated industry manufacturing experience preferred
• Knowledge of monotrol pedal operation
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Computer literacy and proficiency with scanning equipment
• Ability to learn, follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a team member
• Must successfully pass employer test
