Responsibilities
- Load and unload inbound or outbound shipments with accuracy and in a timely manner
- Assist with monthly cycle counts, accurately documenting all shipments and receipts
- Report any discrepancies in shipments or receipts
- Practice proper PPE compliance and maintain a safe working record and environment
- Operate forklifts safely and perform preventive maintenance
- Immediately communicate unsafe conditions, acts, or injuries to Production or Yard Supervisor
- Maintain and build job skills through company training programs
- Assist with the Preventive Maintenance program as required
- Conduct visual product quality inspections
- Load the correct products on outbound shipments accurately and in a timely manner
- Unload products on inbound shipments in a timely manner
- Process customer shipments including UPS shipments
- Continually expand product knowledge
- Follow the direction of the shipping manager
- Understand and practice ADS CORE VALUES
This position requires the flexibility to work 40+ hours per week, weekends as required, and also fulfill on-call duties for repairs and assistance. The Shipping Dock Worker/Forklift Operator reports directly to the Assistant Shipping Manager or the Shipping Manager.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certified forklift operator
- Some shipping or logistics experience preferred

Physical Requirements
- Ability to repeatedly lift 75 pounds to a height of 6 feet
- Ability to stand and be mobile for a minimum of 8 continuous hours
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods in temperature extremes
- Ability to use hands, arms, and legs to physically handle and transport finished goods
- Full range of body motion on a daily basis including twisting, bending, reaching, squatting, and ability to mount/dismount industrial equipment and vehicles
