This position reports to Operations Manager and will work in Port St Lucie, FL. About The Position As a Shipping & Customer Service Supervisor in the Port St Lucie team, you will be involved in all aspects of customer satisfaction including order entry, order picking, packing, and shipping.This position will lead a team to ensure customer satisfaction, accurate finished goods inventories, accurate and timely entering of customer orders, and that orders are shipped correctly and efficiently in accordance with company policies and procedures. Your Main Responsibilities Responsible for all aspects of Customer Service / Shipping DepartmentSupervise Shipping Clerks and Customer Service/Data Entry direct reportsMeet or exceed company standards for productivity for order entry, order picking, packing and shipping, maintain high order fill rates, on time delivery, and accuracyGuarantee Total Customer SatisfactionPrompt order entry from customers into ERP System maintaining high order accuracySet up new customer accounts and process credit card paymentsMonitor customer payment history and flag poor accountsAnswer customer requests and communicate with customers on the status of ordersValidate orders are pulled and packed to customer specificationsDetermine priority of orders to be picked and shippedCommunication with Planning on potential shortages and customer needsWork with shipping companies to get best rates: Negotiating all third-party logistics contracts for parcel, LTL, and International inbound/outbound shipments.Ensure orders are shipped to appropriate destinations in a cost-effective manner that meets customer needsInitiate action to prevent the occurrence of product, process or quality system nonconformanceIdentify and record any problems relating to the product, process or quality systemStrive to develop and implement continuous improvement into all products, processes or quality systemsMaintain equipment in department by enforcing operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, scheduling preventative maintenance and calling for repairsResponsible for NAFTA reportingSecures warehouse by maintaining proper controls, checks and proceduresManage safety programs for Shipping functions in accordance with Safety and OSHA regulationsMaintain a clean, neat and orderly work area using the principles of 5SMaintains storage areas by organizing floor space, adhering to storage design principles and recommending improvementsPerform other duties as assigned What do we offer?
