Job Description
Support and coordinates inbound and outbound logistics activities for one or more plants, ensuring accurate, safe and timely material movement. Work cross-functionally with operations, production, procurement, and customer service to maintain inventory accuracy, meet customer delivery requirements and ensure SAP integrity.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with DOT, hazmat and site-specific shipping regulations
- Verify accuracy and completeness of shipping documents for regulated materials
- Comply with all plant environmental, health, safety, and process safety standards and procedures
- Report hazards, deviations, and injuries in a timely manner
- Care for all aspects of shipping and receiving processes, including scheduling shipments and tracking deliveries across multiple transportation modes (truck, rail, barge where applicable)

- Coordinate dock scheduling to prioritize loading/unloading activities and material movement between production units and storage locations
- Prepares shipments by obtaining the product labels, pick list, BOL, packing list, SDS, CoAs and any other shipping documentation. Inputs shipment details into SAP
- Communicate with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate shipments
- Maintain inventory levels and reorder supplies as necessary to meet shipping demands
Physical Requirements And Environment
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs and ladders over 100 ft.
- Must be willing to wear PPE (Personal Protective equipment) including but not limited to hard hat, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, Level A suit, full face respirator
- Ability to work in a high hazard environment, including adverse weather conditions, elevated spaces, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and noisy surroundings.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to read, write, and type the English language
- Read and comprehend detailed specifications, including computer graphical user interface and basic math ability
Preferred Qualifications
- Detail oriented, able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, meet customers’ needs and work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of inventory control and warehouse processes
- Strong SAP knowledge
- Strong Microsoft 365 knowledge
- Familiarity with shipping documentation (BOL, SDS, COA, export documentation if applicable)
- Proven experience in logistics, shipping, or supply chain coordination
- Strong understanding of shipping regulations and practices
- Experience in a manufacturing or chemical environment (preferred)
