Shipping Coordinator
Job Summary
As part of the warehouse team, the Supply Chain Shipping Coordinator is responsible for working with the facility’s drivers and switchers. This position contributes to the productivity of the site by efficiently and strategically assigning trailers to the proper dock doors and ensuring cross-docking opportunities are utilized whenever possible.
Qualifications
- Some warehouse, transportation, or dispatch experience preferred
- Understanding of transportation, customer & warehouse requirements
- Organized, with the ability to multitask and reprioritize as needed
- Problem identification, management, & follow through to resolution
- Able to successfully perform all safety processes, dispatch, Blue Yonder, and required SAP functions
- Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with all levels of employees within the organization
- Able to work with associates at all levels of the organization
- Able to meet the Job Profile requirements for the position
Essential Job Duties
- Responsible for organizing and executing the work schedule for inbound and outbound shipments
- Captures yard management, trailer placement, Blue Yonder, and dock scheduling
- Dispatches outbound loads and completes driver check-in / check-out
- Manages receiving paperwork and posting receipts
- Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area, and conducts operations in a manner that promotes safety
- Other job duties may be assigned as needed
