About the role

Conductix-Wampfler is a growing organization offering challenging and rewarding opportunities in the electrification and cable management markets. This position is an integral part of the manufacturing team.

Responsibilities

• Determining product container requirements to ensure safe delivery to customer
• Processing pack slips, bill of lading, export paperwork and expedite orders
• Conferring with sales, manufacturing and quality on product and customer complaint issues
• Receiving incoming materials, POs, and raw materials per company quality requirements
• Conducting daily operations in a safe and team-oriented atmosphere
• Verifying and keeping records on outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment
• Assembling wooden or cardboard containers or selecting preassembled containers
• Inspecting outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications
• Maintaining the inventory of shipping materials and supplies
• Operating tier lift truck or using hand-truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments
• Studying shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods
• Counting, weighing, measuring, or examining packaging and contents for conformance to company specifications
• Delivering incoming goods to respective departments
• Sustaining 5S practices
• Supporting and upholding the quality and EHS policy

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on shipping and receiving experience
• Forklift experience a plus, will train
• Overhead crane experience a plus, will train
• Crating or carpentry experience a plus, will train
• UPS Worldship experience a plus
• Export paperwork experience a plus
• Understanding SDS/Hazcom shipping regulations

Skills

• High school diploma or GED
• One to three months related experience and/or training
