Shipping Associate

About the role

Underground Printing (UGP) is looking for a highly motivated, self-driven individual to train as a press operator at our Ypsilanti production facility and warehouse. We work in a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail and quick thinking. This position starts at $16 an hour with the opportunity for advancement. We provide on-the-job, paid training!

Responsibilities

• Helping with the loading of daily deliveries
• Maintaining inventory
• Sorting and assigning inventory to a bin system
• Organization of packing lists and bills of lading
• Retrieving orders from inventory to be sent into production
• Responsible for safely and efficiently loading and unloading products from the delivery vehicle, ensuring items are handled with care to avoid damage
• Assist with warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, packing, sorting, and organizing orders
• Responsible for following all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety

Requirements

• Ability to meet the physical demands of this job including lifting, pushing, pulling of products
• Ability to work independently and also function in a team environment
• This position requires punctuality, problem solving and attention to detail
• Qualified candidates must be able to work on their feet all day, have the ability to lift boxes up to 50 lbs., and be able to work independently
• Must possess strong work ethic and ability to operate with limited supervision

Pay & Schedule

• Starts at $16 an hour with opportunity for advancement
• First Shift: Monday through Friday, 7a–3p
• Second Shift: Monday through Friday, 3p–11p
• Optional overtime available
