Shipping and Warehouse Associate

Responsibilities

• Keep up with the workflow of everyday processes in the shipping division.
• Adhere to ASGCO Quality Assurance Standards and Safety Standards.
• Prepares orders for shipment to customers.
• Proactive and able to implement more effective ways of accomplishing goals of the department.
• Report to management if there is to be maintenance on any machinery in the department.
• Unload from truck and sign for delivery, ensure there is no damage to product.
• Take packing slip off of freight and staple it to trucking company bill of lading and place in shipping office.
• Place freight on shelf in proper location or desired location for stocking.
• Pull order as they come, pull appropriate stock from warehouse.
• Prepare manifests (packing lists) for all orders.
• Provide assistance to the Logistics Supervisor when required.
• Maintain good house-keeping and organization of warehouse.
• Perform other responsibilities as seen fit by management.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability and certification to drive a forklift (training provided if needed).
• Strong attention to detail and good interpersonal skills.
• The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
• Absolutely must have attendance and reliability.
• The ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
• The ability to lift up to 100lbs, bending, kneeling, reaching and standing for long periods of time.
• Pass a background check, drug screen and other job requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 100obs., bending, kneeling, reaching and stranding for long periods of time.
• Frequently exposed to regulated noise, cold working conditions also exposed to smells that are within the guidelines.
• May be exposed to possible extreme temperatures and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, fumes or airborne particles.
• May be required to work overtime on an as-needed basis.
