Shipping and Receiving - Titanium Aerospace Manufacturing (Albany, OR)
Purpose
The Shipping and Receiving role involves marking parts, creating pack slips, boxing shipments, and processing shipments using various systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Mark parts per customer specifications using a vibropeen and other methods of marking.
- Create customer pack slips using Visual Manufacturing System.
- Engage with the Customer Website and Portal.
- Box and palletize shipments.
- Process shipments through systems like UPS Worldship, FedEx Ground, FedEx Express, and LTL services.
- Work responsibly, safely, and professionally.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- A high level of accuracy, excellent proof-reading ability, and great attention to detail.
- Able to retain a great deal of varying information to complete pack slips, certifications, and exportation of freight.
- A clean Motor Vehicle Record (proof of MVR will be required).
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills required.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Basic math ability, including addition.
- Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions and procedures.
- Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Previous experience working in manufacturing and production, especially in aerospace castings preferred.
- Good communication skills at all levels within the organization.
- Ability to interact effectively with co-workers and supervisors in a positive and professional manner.
- Solid job history including more than 1 year at previous or recent employer.
- An HS diploma or equivalent GED required, but candidates not meeting this requirement who possess relevant experience will be considered.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment background check.
- Willingness to participate in pre-employment and periodic drug screening.
- Forklift experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Able to sit, stand, bend, and remain active for the majority of the shift.
Working Conditions
The job is performed under reasonably good working conditions with some exposure to noise, temperature, and machinery.
