Summary
This position coordinates the movement of customer's materials from suppliers through our Service Center Network.
- ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Covers coordination, scheduling, and dispatching of all service requirements from local pickups through deliveries.
- Maintains direct liaison between dock operations and internal / external customers.
- Responsible for tracking, data input, and reporting of information to external and internal customers.
- Handles inter-company and intra-company communication.
- Works with planning group on coordinating facility outbound volume.
- Provides customer service to internal and external customers.
- Prepares all inbound and outbound documentation.
- May oversee loading activities (varies by center).
Other Skills And Abilities

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) from a two-year college or university preferred but not required; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to read and write in English is required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is desired in some centers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
