About the role

Exemplify the highest level of customer service standards to internal and external customers. Assist management in planning for receipt of shipments to determine cost-effective receipt and staffing needs. Process shipments, maintain inventory records, direct merchandise flow, and ensure stockroom organization and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

  • Process shipments as delivered and ensure inventory records are properly maintained.
  • Direct merchandise flow from stock room to sales floor.
  • Ticket and stock merchandise in the stock room or prepare for immediate distribution to the sales floor.
  • Organize stockroom departments by stocking merchandise and supplies on appropriate shelves or in off-site locations, ensuring aisles and exits are clear.
  • Process inventory paperwork, including store-to-store transfers, receiving logs, receiving discrepancies, damaged merchandise, and returns.
  • Maintain accurate records of merchandise stored at off-site locations.
  • Execute timely processing of donations and MOS merchandise.
  • Pack and log merchandise as required for shipments.
  • Ensure stockroom is clean, supplies are organized, and garbage is removed.
  • Complete tasks listed on daily agenda or as assigned (e.g., maintenance, lighting, cleaning).
  • May supervise and train stock associates.
  • Assist on sales floor as needed.
  • Comply with all Company Policy and Procedures to minimize loss.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years stockroom experience.
  • 1-2 years customer service experience.
  • Basic product knowledge preferred.
  • Effective planning and time management skills to execute multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Valid driver’s license (where applicable).

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to operate POS system.
  • Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 75 pounds, while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques.

Schedule

  • Full-time associates must have open availability to meet business needs.
  • Part-time flex associates must be available to work a minimum of two regularly scheduled shifts on the weekend (Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday) and two during the week (Monday to Thursday).
  • For associates scheduled 20+ hours weekly, greater availability beyond the minimum is required.
  • Weekend availability must span two separate days (e.g., Friday and Saturday, Friday and Sunday, or Saturday and Sunday).

Pay

The anticipated pay range for this role is $19.65 per hour, based on factors including education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.
