Shipper/Receiver II (SHIPP006427)

Responsibilities

• Unloads and receives incoming materials.
• Packages and ships product to customers.
• Assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment.
• Processes shipments using shipping systems and customer portals.
• Assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment.
• Prepares bills of lading and other required forms.
• Receives and unpacks materials and supplies.
• Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement, and record keeping.
• Aids in arranging carriers for shipments.
• Assists in preparing overseas/international shipments.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment or related field.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
• Strong organization skills, self-starter with initiative, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Computer literate with a working knowledge of shipping/receiving software and use of online portals.
• Valid driver’s license is a must.
• Flexible with overtime and weekends, as necessary.
• Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.

Qualifications

• Intermediate or advanced knowledge of shipping/receiving software and use of online portals is preferred.
• Experience in government packaging regulations is a plus.
• Basic math skills required.
