Shipper Receiver

We’re looking for a productive Shipper Receiver to join our Shipping and Receiving Department team for a 12-hour, 3-day work week at our Ypsilanti Plant (775 James L Hart Parkway).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and communicate within the Shipping & Receiving Team and manufacturing regarding deliveries and shipments
• Stage, load, and unload inbound/outbound shipments
• Maintain inventory control by correctly verifying and receiving products in our inventory system
• Identify and correct any deficiencies related to shipping and/or receiving
• Process all materials or work-in-progress (WIP) according to work instructions for finished pallets, rolls, and crates shipping to internal or external customers
• Process paperwork associated with shipping and receiving
• Ensure all internal/external customer requirements are met for inbound and outbound freight
• Keep work areas clean and organized
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Material handling skills and experience
• Minimum one year of experience using sit-down and stand-up forklifts
• Clamp truck experience is a plus
• Knowledge of MS Word and Excel preferred
• Experience performing checklists for daily use of equipment
• Familiarity with safe warehouse procedures and regulations
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Qualifications

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Able to lift at least 40 lbs
• This position can be very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching as needed
• Demonstrated ability to produce accurate work
