About the role

JELD-WEN is a leading global designer, manufacturer and distributor of high-performance interior and exterior doors, windows and related building products serving the new construction and repair and remodeling sectors. American Building Supply (ABS), a subsidiary of JELD-WEN and one of the nation’s largest wholesale suppliers of doors, door hardware, windows, and millwork, has a Shipper & Receiver position available to assist the Distribution Division in providing value‑added goods and services to customers. The role reports to the Warehousing/Warehouse Manager and works the Day Shift.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming loads
• Check shipping documents for correct customer information
• Operate propane and electric forklift vehicles
• Perform start‑of‑shift preventative maintenance inspection
• Load semi‑trucks and box trucks with required finished product
• Pick/pull product from racks
• Assist in inventory cycle counts as needed
• Material preparation and material handling
• Staging and packaging finished product for delivery
• Other general warehouse duties as needed

Requirements

Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and must occasionally move stock, materials, and unfinished and finished product in and near their work areas.

The work environment may expose the employee to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and machines, vibrations, and loud noises.

Pay

Expected pay for this role is between $23.45 to $25.98 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
