Shipper/Receiver 2

About the role

We are hiring a Shipper/Receiver 2 position in Plumsteadville, PA. This role is open and committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and receives shipments, including all required documentation for compliance to US DOT regulations and international shipments.
• Performs all job assignments in a safe manner according to Airgas SOPs.
• Verifying results from lab and provide certifications.
• Determining shipping methods International shipments (IMDG, IATA and Airgas Export Compliances).
• MATCH work orders to the appropriate delivery ticket generated.
• Maintaining Shipping Supplies.
• Create deliveries that don't automatically create in SAP.
• Create Bills Of Lading using AFS site.
• Receive STO's Scraping, labeling and painting of cylinders.
• Moving of cylinders by usage of a cylinder cart and/or forklift.
• Load and unloading of trucks.
• MATCH up receiving returns with common carrier paperwork.
• Make sure all documentation matches cylinders.
• Make sure cylinders go out in a neat and presentable condition.
• Cylinder sorting.
• Basic knowledge of CFR 49.
• Understanding Special permits.
• Basic computer operations for data entry and training.
• Utilizing basic calculations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Aptitude for high precision work.
• Able to achieve HM 126 qualification.
• Able to operate forklift and maintain forklift certifications.
• Able to follow directions, make decisions, work in a team, and be reliable.
• High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum 1 year experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) or equivalent software.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to work all shifts; subject to all weather conditions.
