- Monday to Thursday 7 pm - 7 am
- Training Shift: Mon - Thru 7 am - 7 pm
Essential Job Functions
- Always complies with company safety rules during working hours and ensures the safety of himself/herself and others at his/her operating station.
- Verifies that the product conforms with the packaging requirements stated in the engineering specifications and to any other special customer instructions prior to release for shipment.
- Visually inspects all empty take-up reels for proper size, strength, appearance and inside of flanges for foreign material that could cause damage to the finished product produced.
- Verifies that there is no physical damage to the cable product, packaging material and/or reel.
- Generates product identification tags for finished product and maintains accurate record keeping of all pertinent information required by HendrixClear hold tags (non-conforming product) as instructed to meet internal/customer specification and interact with Quality Control to verify product conformance.
- Terminate cable ends when required.
- Weigh work center scrap, including bare balances, complete scrap tag requirements, including scrap reporting and transport it to a designated area.
- Verifies the measuring devices are calibrated.
- Schedule and complete work assignments in accordance with customer due dates to meet scheduled shipping dates.
- Loads trucks in conformance with the shipping requirements stated on the work order and/or the Hendrix standards, as applicable.
Education, Experience, Skills And Knowledge
- Experience in the wire & cable industry a plus.
- Material handling techniques.
- Operation of high-speed packaging line equipment.
- High voltage testing and fault location.
- Understands the safety issues associated with chemicals, the high-speed packaging line, high voltage testing and various tools used in the work area.
- Tools and measuring devices applicable to the industry.
- ISO requirements pertaining to the lines.
- Read micrometers and other related precision tools.
- Communicate effectively to receive and pass on information and instructions.
- Mechanical aptitude regarding line operation and troubleshooting of basic line problems.
- Fulfill simple computer tasks.
