Job Summary

This role supports daily warehouse, distribution, and shipping operations through a combination of hands‑on material handling activities and administrative shipping functions. It is responsible for order fulfillment, receiving inventory, product movement, shipping and receiving activities, and transportation coordination. The position ensures products are accurately received, processed, stored, and shipped while maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, quality, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment according to established procedures and customer requirements.
• Receive incoming materials and products, verify quantities and condition, and accurately record receipts.
• Transport, stage, and store inventory using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Perform inventory movements and replenishment activities within the warehouse.
• Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse work areas.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Process customer shipments using shipping software, transportation management systems, and ERP platforms.
• Coordinate shipments with carriers to ensure timely pickup and delivery.
• Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, packing lists, and other required shipping documentation.
• Complete shipment confirmation and order closeout activities across multiple systems.
• Monitor shipment status and assist in resolving delivery or transportation issues.
• Ensure compliance with domestic and international shipping requirements when applicable.
• Perform data entry, validation, and record maintenance with a high degree of accuracy.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to maintain operational records, verify shipment information, and support reporting activities.
• Review shipping and inventory documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Assist with operational reporting and metrics tracking.
• Maintain electronic and physical records in accordance with company procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 months of related warehouse/manufacturing experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Basic knowledge of all tools and equipment used in the department.
• Basic knowledge of PC, word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
• Ability to prioritize work and move from one job to the next effectively.
• Ability to navigate customer websites, shipping software, and Transportation Management Systems.
• Basic problem‑solving skills.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing software.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to effectively operate handheld scanners.
• Basic knowledge of all safety procedures.
• Basic knowledge of all department policies and procedures.
• Ability to effectively operate pallet jacks.

Physical Requirements

• Standing/walking 95 %+ of the time on a hard surface.
• Exert up to 100 lb of force occasionally, up to 50 lb frequently, and up to 20 lb constantly to move objects.
• Occasional lifting of 25–50 lb; frequent lifting of 10–24 lb.
• Occasionally carry 25–50 lb; frequently carry 10–24 lb.
