Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment in accordance with safety standards.
• Pick, stage, and package work orders accurately and efficiently.
• Receive incoming materials and perform proper put-away following inventory procedures.
• Load and unload trucks while maintaining product integrity and safety.
• Pick and stage sales orders for outbound shipment.
• Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy efforts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Communicate issues or variances to the Shipping Lead.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities

• Basic warehouse and material-handling knowledge.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.

Education & Experience

• A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Prior warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience with FEFO and Inventory Control preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. independently and heavier loads with assistance.
• Tolerance for exposure to varying temperatures, dust, noise, and manufacturing environments.

Education & Experience

• Knowledge of shipping procedures/processes preferred.
• Good math skills and proficient computer knowledge (MS Word and Excel).
• Experience with MRP Systems.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities.

Pay & Benefits

• This position has a salary range of $20.00.
• The actual salary may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic location.
• Bonus Pay: Meridian offers an incentive plan for 2025 focused on safety, quality, and financial metrics. Eligible employees have the opportunity to earn up to $1,520 a year, with earned payments distributed quarterly throughout the year.

• This role is hands-on and task-driven, focused on the safe, accurate movement of materials and finished goods.
• Shippers execute core warehouse functions with discipline and consistency, supporting the flow of work that keeps the operation steady and on time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
