About the role

VAL‑CO, a leader in commercial poultry, egg, and swine production equipment, is seeking Full‑Time Shippers at its Coldwater, Ohio facility.

Shifts

1st shift: 6 am – 4:30 pm
2nd shift: 4:30 pm – 3 am

Pay

Competitive wages starting based on experience; a $2.50 per hour shift differential for the 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and load orders for motor freight (truck load and less‑than‑truck‑load), UPS service, and customer pick‑up as required, in a timely and efficient manner.
• Organize staging and loading of customer orders.
• Communicate with DC supervision on the status of all customer orders and any changes or adjustments required.
• Check that orders are safely packaged and properly loaded to prevent damage during shipment.
• Assist customers and visitors in a courteous and timely manner.
• Understand and complete all required paperwork and computer transactions correctly and timely.
• Follow all safety requirements and keep work areas neat and orderly.

Requirements

• Valid forklift and driver license.
• Good working knowledge of the company computer system and products.
• Good basic math skills.
• Ability to successfully and courteously interface with others.
• Strong organizational and decision‑making skills.
• Able to read and properly complete all required paperwork.
• Good ability to visualize loads and make packaging adjustments as needed.
