Shipper

Responsibilities

• Assemble Bills of Lading and packing slips, complete with billing information, weights, carrier pro numbers, etc.
• Analyze room requirements and call in carriers to pick up product.
• Prepare product for shipment using standard shipping practices, including proper pallets, labels, tags, and bar codes.
• Load shipping containers.
• Process parts shipments via UPS and FedEx ground software.
• Assemble and pack items as required.
• Maintain department and products in an organized manner.
• Assist or fill in for Warehouseman as required.
• Operate and maintain fork truck, overhead crane, banding, and stretchwrap equipment as required.

Requirements

Physical Requirements

• Ability to wear safety glasses, earplugs, gloves, safety-toe shoes, and a dust mask.
• Constant use of hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.
• Ability to frequently exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects and materials.
• Considerable use of arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
• Standing for 8 or more hours every day.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

Work Environment

The job is within an industrial environment which requires work within various areas. Environmental conditions can include hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and noisy settings.
