Ship&Receiving Clerk

About the role

Reports to: Department Supervisor
Location: Seattle, WA
Type: Full-Time

Schedule: 2nd Shift (Monday - Friday; 2pm - 10:30pm), 4th Shift (Friday - Sun 6:00am - 6:00pm)

Responsibilities

• Receives and unloads incoming materials and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment; may process return shipments from customers
• Sorts, counts, packages, labels, insures, unpacks, and/or logs inventory which is shipped or received
• Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel
• May operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment
• Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required
• Reliability - the trait of being dependable and trustworthy

• Self Motivated - ability to be internally inspired to perform a task to the best of one's ability using his or her own drive or initiative

Physical Demands

• Vision (Near, Distance)
• Sense of Sound - able to hear average audio range
• Sense of Touch
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - All Required

Work Environment

• Work is performed in shop conditions and can be in excess of 100 degrees Fahrenheit
• Temperatures in the work environment can fluctuate with outside weather conditions
• Personal Protection Equipment may be required including safety glasses, goggles, aprons, rubber boots, gloves, and a respirator (provided by Company)

Pay & Benefits

Compensation range: $21.30 - $25.00 (DOE)
