Shiftleader II
About the Role
The Shiftleader will be a main responder to emergency situations, carrying out preventive and corrective measures. They supervise a team of Physical Distribution Employees, ensuring the achievement of agreed-upon production levels while optimizing output efficiency. Quality, timeliness, safety, and cost management are key priorities.
Responsibilities
- Supervise 1st Shift employees by overseeing work, assessing performance, enforcing policies, and addressing questions or concerns.
- Manage daily operations, lead, and set direction for the production team.
- Ensure employees comply with company rules, standards, and key values; act as a role model.
- Develop employees to meet current and future position demands.
- Assess employees’ performance and behavior through appraisals and corrections.
- Set priorities, distribute work, and monitor progress and quality.
- Ensure timely and complete processing in the department based on production schedules and priorities.
- Provide assistance to the Manager on daily operations and act as the manager in their absence.
- Maintain proper levels of supplies (spare parts, tools, and office supplies) and manage vendor interactions.
- Initiate process improvements to enhance maintenance performance.
- Act independently on several technical tasks.
- Identify and solve issues disrupting daily operations.
- Train and coach new and less experienced employees.
- Assist and manage other areas as needed or requested.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Warehousing/Logistics.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of prior experience as a Lead or Senior role in Warehousing.

Schedule
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Schedule is subject to change based on business needs. May require overtime, weekends, holidays, and shift work.
Travel
This position may require up to 5% travel to visit project sites and the Corporate office.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has leadership responsibilities, supervising up to 10 employees/contractors during the workweek. This number may increase based on business needs.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment with temperature variations (as low as 40°F or as high as 70°F+).
- Noise levels can reach 90 decibels at times.
- Exposure to fumes or airborne particles; PPE (e.g., safety glasses, gloves) is required.
- Work in various indoor and outdoor climates and driving conditions.
- Regularly work near moving mechanical parts; operate and maintain equipment and measurement instruments.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle objects, talk, and hear.
- Occasionally required to sit, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision and depth perception.
- Position is very active, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds.
