Shift Utility (6p - 6a. 4 on / 4 off)

Clean and Maintain Housekeeping

• Clean and maintain housekeeping for sawline – minimum two times per shift
• Clean and maintain housekeeping for press pit (night shift)
• Assist in areas of regrading, paint booth, strapper, and sawline as directed by shift supervisor

Operational Support

• Use mobile equipment, power and hand tools to process waste and reclaim material (reclaim bark for bark burner, reclaim processed wood from dryer area)
• Inspect equipment on a daily basis to ensure proper and continuous operations
• Break out sawline, strapper, and forklift driver as needed
• Cross-train in other position throughout the mill to cover operational requirements
• Absorb and perform other duties as necessary to reduce unscheduled downtime (clearing airlocks, cleaning woodburner, etc.)
• Perform basic or light preventative maintenance duties

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 3 months experience required, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position

Work Environment

• Plant environment with exposure to sawdust, chemicals, extreme temperatures and other inclement conditions
