SHIFT SUPERVISOR (TRANSPORTATION) (FULL TIME)

About the role

Direct the activities of associates during a specific shift and oversee that assigned job expectations are completed while policy and procedure is maintained. Employees in this role will work in a temperature-controlled environment with exposure to cold conditions for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the daily work activities of assigned staff to ensure tasks are completed safely, accurately, and on time.
• Monitor workflow and adjust employee assignments to meet operational demands.
• Provide real-time problem solving and escalate issues to the Manager when higher-level intervention is required.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standard operating practices.
• Assist and oversee the transportation department when the Transportation Manager is scheduled off.
• Fill in as driver when needed for coverage or support.
• Provide training and create work schedules.
• Evaluate the performance of workers, rewarding high performers and disciplining employees who fail to meet reasonable standards of work performance.
• Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure their unit meets the expectations for quality, productivity, and safety.
• Act as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
• Act as a mentor, develop employees, and encourage workers to set goals and strive for advancement within the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous technical or supervisory experience preferred.
• Must have 1 year of driving a box truck.

Pay

Fixed Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour.

Schedule

Full time schedule. Wednesday through Sunday; hours may vary. Further details upon interview.
