America's second oldest horse racing track, the Fair Grounds has been a New Orleans staple since 1852. We are a premiere entertainment venue presenting thoroughbred & exotic animal races, slots, video poker and simulcasting year-round. Located in New Orleans, Fair Grounds operates a slot-machine gaming facility and 13 off-track betting parlors throughout southeast Louisiana.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops and maintains customer loyalty.
- Safeguard the confidential information of all team member, department and company records and assets.
- Assists with the monitoring, directing, supervising, and observing slot activities for adherence to company policies and various gaming regulatory requirements.
- Arbitrates customer disputes from slot play.
- Assists the Slot Manager and Sr. Director of Slot Operations in the hiring, training, evaluation, monitoring, and scheduling of slot personnel.
- Implements slot policies and procedures established by the Sr. Director of Slot Operations and Slot Manager.
- Approves and verifies slot machine payouts.
- Performs jackpot payouts.
- Perform all other duties, as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Must be able to obtain a Gaming and Racing License from Louisiana Racing Commission.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years of experience.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
- Work involves lifting, walking, talking, hearing, bending, stooping, climbing.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Office/Casino environment; Subject to outdoor temperature; Exposed to smoke, bright lights and noise at times.
- The work environment consists of very non-demanding surroundings with a low noise level. Will occasionally work in extreme heat or cold conditions.
