Responsibilities
- Provides orientation for all new or transferred employees to ensure their understanding of safety standards, working expectations, and procedures.
- Structures a learning environment conducive to the attainment of required operator skills.
- Effectively manages assigned areas of responsibility.
- Remains well-informed on all KPIs and functions performed by direct reports.
- Serves as the single point of contact for requests for information from dual line supervisors.
- Directs the application of appropriate process technology principles to planning and production.
- Accountable for accurately tracking and managing production entries and inventory.
- Completes all required documents including safety reports, production reports, time cards, and performance documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
- Plans, organizes, coordinates, and monitors operators’ activities to ensure:
- Optimal safety of plant personnel is attained.
- Production schedules and quality standards are achieved.
- Operating costs are contained through efficient use of personnel, machinery, materials, and standard work instructions.
- Performance standards are met.
- Addresses questions, concerns, and requests in a timely manner.
- Routinely inspects plant equipment for operational integrity.
- Initiates work, or work orders, required to retain equipment in proper operating condition following the RAM process.
- Conducts meaningful performance reviews with subordinates.
- Ensures operators meet established safety/performance standards.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience leading a team in an industrial environment.
- Verifiable experience demonstrating effective team building and leadership abilities.
- Undergraduate degree and/or specialized equipment certification preferred.
