Job Description

The Lead Worker supports the Project Manager in the daily business operations of the PSNY Commissary Store. Specific duties include overseeing staff in the absence of the Project Manager, receiving products and verifying product counts, stocking shelves, filling product holes, cleaning shelves and bathrooms, sweeping and buffing floors, snow removal, addressing customer inquiries, and enforcing safety standards.

• Oversee staff in the absence of the Project Manager.
• Receive products and verify product counts.
• Stock front-facing products on shelves to correlate accurate expiration dates.
• Fill product holes.
• Clean shelves, dust, and bathrooms.
• Sweep and mop wet grocery aisles.
• Scrub and buff floors.
• Perform snow removal on sidewalks, loading docks, and apply sand and salt.
• Address any questions from customers regarding product types and locations.
• Enforce safety standards during working hours.

Conditions of Employment

• Must meet program eligibility requirements.
• Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
• Must pass a government background check to acquire a naval access badge.
