Shift Supervisor

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading hub associates and/or temp workers in warehouse operations and activities including the receiving, sorting, and scanning inbound freight. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring procedures and operations increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

• Provide leadership to hub associates
• Supervise hub associates and/or temp workers
• Manage staffing schedules of associates and/or temp workers based on volume projections to help meet specific metric related goals
• Organize stocks and maintain inventories
• Inspect products for defects and damages
• Examine incoming freight
• Receive, unload, and place incoming inventory items appropriately
• Oversee the sort process to ensure it is done in an efficient manner
• Ensure team abides by all company safety and hygiene regulations
• Collaborate with day shift transportation team
• Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures
• Keep warehouse clean and organized daily
• Mentation of and compliance with the company safety plan, including drug and alcohol

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and be able to pass and/or obtain all reporting, testing, and certifications as required for this position and location. • Proficiency in inventory software, database, and systems
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Current forklift license or ability to obtain one
