About the role
The Shift Supervisor assists the General Manager/Assistant General Manager in leading and supervising store personnel, achieving key performance metrics, and ensuring efficient daily operations. This role ensures regulatory compliance while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Assume all duties of a key-holding supervisor, including opening and closing procedures and basic supervision of staff and retail processes
- Maintain brand standards in visual merchandising
- Ensure consistent regulatory compliance with all state-specific regulations
- Review, communicate, and ensure compliance with all company SOPs; relay any changes to employees
- Provide coaching, training, and development focused on company service standards and accountability to meet specific objectives
- Monitor and maintain store inventory
- Handle and resolve patient issues and escalations
- Maintain professional working relationships with business partners
- Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance
- Perform other tasks assigned by management
Requirements
- High School Diploma required
- Prior management experience, preferably in retail and/or customer service (a plus)
- Prior cash handling experience
- Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism to communicate with all levels of management and staff
- Ability to uphold strict confidentiality and discretion
- Conversational English proficiency to work effectively with customers and team members, operate electronic equipment (computer, scanner, printer, etc.), comprehend safety procedures, and use telecommunication devices
- Ability to interact respectfully and politely with customers and team members of diverse backgrounds and needs, including those experiencing emotional distress or displaying hostility
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass a MVR background check (delivery locations only)
- Must pass a level 1 and level 2 background check
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must function independently, with flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies
Physical Requirements
- Constantly required to move/traverse throughout the entire facility, including tight spaces
- Accurately communicate and exchange sensitive information and ideas with others, including members of the public
- Observe/inspect details at varying ranges; operate computing devices
- Frequently manipulate objects of varying sizes and weights (e.g., products, packaging, tools, office machinery): push/pull objects up to 50 lbs; lift/carry/position objects up to 50 lbs; ascend/descend stool/ladder/steps; position self and/or objects at floor level (e.g., crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl)
- Must have visual and auditory acuity with or without job aids to perform all functions of the position
- Occasionally required to remain in a seated position
Pay
$16.50 an hour
Schedule
Up to 40 hours weekly with flexible hours depending on store needs. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
