SHIFT SUPERVISOR (FULL TIME)
Location: University of Nevada, Reno – Library Market at UNR, 1664 N Virginia St MS 192, Reno, NV 89557
About the role
Direct the activities of associates during a specific shift and oversee that assigned job expectations are completed while policy and procedure is maintained.
Schedule
Full Time; Shifts may vary with needs of the business. Monday through Friday; weekends off.
Pay
Fixed pay rate: $19.00 per hour.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in food service
- 1+ years of experience in staff supervisory roles
Responsibilities
- Provide training and create work schedules
- Evaluate the performance of workers, reward high performers, and discipline employees who fail to meet reasonable standards of work performance
- Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure the unit meets expectations for quality, productivity, and safety
- Act as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off
- May act as a mentor, develop employees, and encourage workers to set goals and strive for advancement within the organization
- Perform other duties as assigned

Because this position requires you to perform services in an educational facility, there may be periods when the Company does not require you to perform work (such as winter and summer breaks when food service needs decline or cease). Any such periods during which you do not perform work on the Company’s behalf may be unpaid and deemed a temporary layoff. However, depending on business needs, you may be required to work year-round, potentially at a different location during break periods.
