SHIFT SUPERVISOR (FULL TIME)

Location: Eastern Michigan University, 900 Oakwood St., Ypsilanti MI 48197 (hiring for multiple locations). Students are encouraged to apply.

About the role

Direct the activities of associates during a specific shift and oversee that assigned job expectations are completed while policy and procedure is maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and create work schedules.
• Evaluate the performance of workers, reward high performers, and discipline employees who fail to meet reasonable standards of work performance.
• Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure the unit meets expectations for quality, productivity, and safety.
• Act as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
• Act as a mentor, develop employees, and encourage workers to set goals and strive for advancement within the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous food service shift supervisor experience required.

Pay

Pay range: $19.00 per hour to $22.00 per hour.

Schedule

Full-time schedule. Varying days and hours based on business need, including Monday–Friday and some weekends. More details provided upon interview.

Note: Due to the nature of this position in an educational facility, there may be unpaid periods during winter and summer breaks when food service needs decline or cease. Depending on business needs, you may be required to work year-round, potentially at a different location during break periods.
