Work Location

Schedule

• Full‑time, at least 40 hours per week
• Flexible schedule required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Weekend availability is mandatory
• Closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day
• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age

Job Summary

The Shift Supervisor will lead the team at Shoot Smart, become the expert on the point‑of‑sale system, ensure smooth customer transactions, and maintain compliance with ATF standards. The role emphasizes attention to detail, efficiency, and delivering top‑notch customer service.

Key Duties

• Master the point‑of‑sale system and train staff on its usage
• Act as a company cheerleader and promote core values
• Participate in company training programs to improve personal and employee skills
• Perform facility maintenance tasks
• Inspire Range Guides to master lane management
• Coach team members on required skills
• Provide exceptional customer service and train staff on service standards
• Monitor cash registers, discourage theft, and ensure proper cash quantities
• Optimize traffic flow to make lane turns efficient and assist customers
• Act as a manager during opening and closing hours

Requirements

• High school diploma with formal training in sales and customer service
• 1–3 years of retail sales or customer service experience
• Working knowledge of retail sales transactions
• Ability to obtain NRA Range Safety Officer certification, NRA Pistol Trainer certification, and Red Cross First Aid certification (Shoot Smart will assist)
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with customers and employees
• Experience and knowledge of firearms operations
• Computer literacy
• Ability to lift 25 lb
