Job Overview
About the Role
Shift Supervisor position at Valence Surface Technologies, reporting to Production Manager. Full-time, non-exempt, Friday - Sunday, 6am - 6pm.
Responsibilities
- Safety conscious and proactive in implementing safety measures
- Complies with Valence Surface Technologies Code of Conduct
- Organizes assigned area for easy access to orders in process
- Communicates with customer service about incoming work
- Maintains shop in a 5S and well-kept condition
- Operates within safety, quality, and financial guidelines
- Monitors project and department performance, budget, and resolves issues
- Works closely with other shifts to develop schedules
- Ensures timely and efficient work flow
- Supervises employees, delegates tasks, and provides feedback
- Trains employees on safety and production procedures
- Resolves technical problems and keeps production moving
- Participates in continuous process improvement activities
Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
