Position Overview
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading the store to deliver outstanding customer service, meeting all operational objectives and financial goals, and adhering to company policies and procedures. The position also includes performing the duties of a Customer Service Representative and assisting the Assistant Store Manager in various store operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain exemplary customer service within the store and build relationships with customers
- Establish a strong customer service culture within the store
- Support the Assistant Store Manager in implementing strategies to meet store goals and objectives
- Develop and motivate store team members to exceed customer expectations
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Perform responsibilities of a Customer Service Representative and supervise team activities in the absence of the Store Manager, including transaction processing, cash drawer maintenance, and cash handling procedures
- Coach Customer Service Representatives on proper transaction conduct and superior customer service
- Review and approve checks within limits
- Support store marketing efforts in the community
- Resolve customer complaints
- Aid the Store Manager in managing schedules, cash, and store audits
- Review Operations Bulletins, News communications, and training materials to ensure understanding of current policies, procedures, and changes
- Help maintain a clean and tidy store environment for both customers and team members
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- A minimum of one year of management experience in industries such as hospitality, financial services, retail, and restaurant
- Willingness and ability to engage with customers and develop positive relationships
- Strong desire to support corporate initiatives and inspire excellence in a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- High energy, collaborative management experience
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- English fluency is required; English/Spanish bilingual is a plus
