Shift Supervisor
Job Summary
In this role, you will assist with equipment and system operation in accordance with the process design. You will support a variety of activities including, but not limited to startup, work orders, shift reports, inventory, sampling and analysis, electrical and mechanical systems, control room panel operation, and system cleaning. You will help identify and resolve issues to ensure units are operating as designed.
Major Responsibilities
- Assists with operation of equipment and systems in accordance with the process design requirements
- Supports preparation of work orders for servicing and repairs and submits to Lead Operator/Maintenance personnel
- Supports preparation of systems for minor maintenance
- Supports the preparation of inventory reports and orders chemicals when needed
- Supports routine sampling and analytical work
- Supports the commissioning and operation of facility and other utility systems
- Records and evaluates system operating parameters for comparison to design
- Identifies equipment problems and initiates equipment repair documentation
- Provides support for emergency response activities per plant programs and training (fire, medical, environmental)
Education And Experience Requirements
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience
- Required Knowledge And Skills
- Previous experience as an Operational Supervisor
- Recent plant Operations/Management experience
- Experience in using Work Control Software
Required Knowledge And Skills
- Must be physically able to conduct field inspections and participate in project walk-downs
- Extensive walking in and around a construction site, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, using fall protection and other personal protective equipment (PPE), walking on elevated platforms, walking on uneven surfaces, and maneuvering around very small and/or confined spaces.
