Shift Manager - Spokane Valley
About the role
We are a local family that has owned and operated the Spokane area Domino’s Pizza locations since 1997. We actively seek to add depth to our growing management teams as we continue to expand our store count. Shift Managers are entry-level management members developing the skills to efficiently manage a high-performing store. The Shift Manager pool is utilized to fill Assistant Manager positions as team members promote within the company.
Pay
Starting wage for newly hired Shift Managers is based on prior experience, generally beginning at minimum wage + $0.50 for the initial 30- to 90-day training period. Raises are available based on performance reviews, typically in 4-week increments. Top Shift Manager pay is $2.50 over minimum wage plus a monthly bonus for eligible Shift Managers, based on store and individual performance. Bonuses range from a base of $100 to $250 per month, with potential earnings up to $455–$1,300 depending on store goals.
Assistant Manager pay ranges from $19.25 to $21 per hour, with a monthly bonus base of $350 to $1,000, potentially earning up to 130% of the base bonus. The 2024 bonus average for Spokane Valley was 120%.
Pay range for Shift Managers: $17.13–$20.13 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Provide managerial assistance to the store’s General Manager in running and implementing operating standards.
- Prepare pizzas and deliver orders to designated locations.
- Drop off nightly deposits and complete necessary paperwork in the General Manager’s absence.
- Count inventory and supplies on a nightly basis.
- Analyze labor and sales continuously.
- Ensure facility and equipment cleanliness based on company standards.
- Supervise employees and delegate tasks efficiently.
- Interview, hire, onboard, and train new team members.
- Prepare and package food products in a presentable manner.
- Maintain cleanliness of the store and its equipment.
- Rotate and properly mark expiration dates of commissary deliveries (3x weekly).
- Manage cash, people, and time effectively.
Work environment may include outdoor conditions, varying temperatures, noisy settings, moving mechanical parts, dangerous equipment, sharp tools, fumes, odors, dust, or toxic chemicals. The role can be physically demanding, requiring repetitive hand use, prolonged standing, bending, twisting, reaching, crouching, stooping, or kneeling.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age or legally able to work 30+ hours per week (emancipated, married, a parent, or enrolled in college).
- Ability to work either night shift (5 PM to 1 AM/2 AM on weekends) or day shift (9 AM to 6:30 PM/8 PM on weekends).
- Minimum of two years of customer service or restaurant experience preferred.
- Enthusiastic and willing to learn.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Customer service-oriented.
- Able to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and unscheduled shifts as emergencies arise.
- Willing to learn and perform other workstation duties within the restaurant as needed.
- Ability to motivate and build cohesive teams.
