Shift Manager in Training
About the role
A Shift Manager in Training leads shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience. They oversee and lead crew and other managers on their shift, inspire and empower the team, understand the importance of teamwork, take action to address safety, security, inventory, and profitability, and continuously learn and grow within the restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Planning for each shift
- Making sure the team meets McDonald’s standards during the shift
- Monitoring safety, security, and profitability
- Communicating with other Shift Managers and crew
- Motivating, delegating, and coaching the team
- Completing assigned cleanliness tasks
- Completing assigned planned maintenance tasks
Requirements
Previous Manager experience is required, ideally within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment. A background in quick service restaurants is strongly desired, or experience in hospitality or retail is acceptable. Candidates must be 18 years or older.
Qualifications
Strong customer service and support focus, effective communication skills, ability to anticipate customer needs, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. Passion for helping and serving others is also important.
Skills
Leadership, problem-solving, multitasking, and adaptability are key skills for success in this role.
