Shift Manager - Crossroads

About the role

Wendy’s of Western VA, a locally owned franchise with 14 restaurants across Roanoke and Lynchburg, is seeking energetic Shift Managers to assist their teams and manage operations at one of our many locations. We offer extensive skills training, multiple bonus programs, and opportunities for promotion, including advancement to Store General Manager.

Responsibilities

• Work with your team to create a restaurant of choice by providing the best food in a friendly and fast-paced environment.
• Properly manage your shift using Wendy’s Systems.
• Manage, empower, and assist your team in achieving organizational goals that support “Service Excellence for every customer that we serve.”
• Perform HR duties to maximize employee engagement and retention.
• Interview and recommend candidates to achieve proper staffing levels.
• Provide A+ training for every employee through established systems.
• Assist the General Manager with administrative tasks.
• Ensure all food safety procedures are executed at a high level in accordance with Company and Health Department standards.

What We Expect From You

• Restaurant/retail experience, especially in serving customers.
• Ability to work flexible schedules that may include late nights and breakfast (most Drive-Thru’s open till midnight).
• Strong customer service skills, effective communication, and leadership/organizational abilities.
• Ability to stand for long periods without a break and travel to the bank, other restaurants, or the Area Office.
