Assistant Manager Summary
Help the General Manager with customer service, staffing, safety, cleanliness, daily operations, and cash/inventory control.
Requirements
- Retail management experience.
- Class E license + Responsible Vendor certification.
- Effective communication, leadership, and basic computer skills.
Key Duties
- Support and run store operations.
- Enforce policies, safety rules, and uniform standards.
- Maintain a clean, stocked, customer-ready store.
- Ensure proper cash handling and inventory accuracy.
- Help hire, train, schedule, and coach team members.
- Provide great customer service and resolve issues.
Physical Demands
- Standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling.
- Lifting or moving up to 50 lbs.
- Vision requirements including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Work Environment
- Exposure to current outdoor weather.
- Indoor temperatures generally between 68–82°F (with brief exposure from –10 to 100°F).
- Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, or vibration.
- Moderate noise levels.
Pay Range
$18 - $22 per hour
