Shift Manager
About the role
This job posting is for a Shift Manager position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. The franchisee is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. Shift Managers lead shifts, ensuring quality, service, and cleanliness, and may be responsible for various tasks including food safety, inventory management, and crew training.
Responsibilities
- Lead shifts to ensure great Quality, Service and Cleanliness to customers
- Plan for each shift and monitor performance
- Take action to ensure team meets McDonald’s standards
- Maintain safety, security, and profitability
- Communicate with the next Shift Manager to prepare them for their shift
- Meet targets during shifts and help assigned Departments meet their goals
- Manage crew and handle inventory, daily maintenance, and cleanliness
- Ensure exceptional customer service
- Manage food safety
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment
- Positive team player with a flexible schedule and passion for the fast-paced McDonald’s environment
- Must be 18 years or older to be a manager in corporate-owned restaurants
