Shift Manager

About the role

Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. They provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. Shift Managers handle various tasks such as planning for each shift, monitoring performance, ensuring compliance with McDonald’s standards, managing safety and security, and communicating with the next Shift Manager to prepare them for their shift.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor shifts to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Ensure compliance with McDonald’s standards and policies.
• Communicate effectively with the next Shift Manager to prepare them for their shift.
• Manage inventory, daily maintenance, and cleanliness.
• Train and supervise the crew.
• Meet and exceed targets set for the shift.
• Help departments meet their goals.
• Ensure food safety and exceptional customer service.
• Oversee safety and security measures.
• Schedule staff appropriately.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
• The ability to manage a team and communicate effectively.
• A flexible schedule to accommodate the demands of the job.
• Must be 18 years or older to be eligible for management positions.
