About the role
Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience on every visit. They provide leadership to the crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. Shift Managers handle various tasks such as planning for each shift, monitoring performance, enforcing McDonald’s standards, managing safety and security, and communicating with the next Shift Manager to prepare them for their shift.
Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor shifts to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to McDonald’s standards.
- Ensure the team meets McDonald’s quality, service, and cleanliness expectations.
- Communicate effectively with the next Shift Manager to facilitate smooth transitions.
- Manage inventory, daily maintenance, and cleanliness to maintain a safe and operational environment.
- Oversee food safety protocols and production processes.
- Engage in exceptional customer service and address any issues promptly.
- Monitor and enforce safety and security measures.
- Manage staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage.
- Train new and existing employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing situations.
- Flexibility with a schedule that allows for the demands of a shift management role.
- Age 18 or older to qualify as a manager in a corporate-owned and operated McDonald’s restaurant.
