Shift Manager
About the role
Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. They provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. Shift Managers handle various tasks such as shift planning, performance monitoring, safety and security oversight, and communication with the next shift leader.
Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor shifts to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness.
- Ensure compliance with McDonald’s standards and internal policies.
- Communicate effectively with the team and the next shift leader.
- Manage inventory, daily maintenance, and crew scheduling.
- Meet and exceed performance targets and department goals.
- Handle food safety and internal communications.
- Train and develop team members.
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
