Shift Manager

About the role

The job involves leading shifts in a restaurant managed by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is a separate entity from McDonald’s USA and is solely responsible for employment matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts to ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience.
• Provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift.
• Plan for each shift and monitor performance during the shift.
• Ensure the team meets McDonald’s standards for Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
• Monitor safety, security, and profitability.
• Communicate with the next Shift Manager to help prepare him/her for the next shift.
• Meet targets during their shifts and assist in meeting Department goals.
• Manage inventory, daily maintenance, and cleanliness.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and food safety.
• Manage crew and handle scheduling.
• Train new employees.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
• A positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be 18 years or older to be considered for management positions.
