Shift Manager

About the role

The role involves leading shifts in a McDonald’s restaurant operated by an independent franchisee. This franchisee is a separate entity from McDonald’s USA and is solely responsible for employment matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience.
• Provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
• Monitor performance during the shift, take corrective actions as needed, and ensure compliance with McDonald’s standards.
• Maintain safety, security, and profitability, and communicate effectively with the next Shift Manager to prepare them for their shift.
• Meet targets during shifts and assist in achieving departmental goals.
• Manage inventory, daily maintenance, and cleanliness.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and food safety.
• Manage crew and handle scheduling.
• Train new employees and enhance existing skills.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule and willingness to work long hours standing and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Age 18 or older to qualify as a manager in corporate-owned and operated McDonald’s restaurants.
