Shift Manager

This job posting is for a Shift Manager position at a McDonald’s restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. The franchisee is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. Employment matters at this restaurant are handled by the franchisee, not McDonald’s USA.
Responsibilities
- Lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
- Provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to ensure great Quality, Service and Cleanliness to customers.
- Perform a variety of tasks, including planning for each shift, monitoring performance, taking action to ensure standards are met, monitoring safety, security, and profitability, and communicating with the next Shift Manager to help prepare him/her for the next shift.
- May be responsible for meeting targets during shifts and helping assigned Departments meet their goals.
- Manage Food Safety, Internal Communication, Inventory Management, Daily Maintenance and Cleanliness, Crew Quality Food Production, Exceptional Customer Service, Safety and Security, and Scheduling.
- Train crew members as needed.
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience, preferably within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
- Positive team player with a flexible schedule and passion for working in the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
- Must be 18 years or older to be a manager in this type of restaurant.

- Competitive starting wage of $15 an hour for certified shift managers, with potential to increase to $17 per hour.
