About the role

This job posting is for a Shift Manager position at a McDonald’s restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. The franchisee is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. Employment matters such as hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling are handled by the franchisee.

Responsibilities

  • Lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
  • Provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high Quality, Service, and Cleanliness standards.
  • Monitor performance during the shift, take corrective actions as needed, and ensure compliance with McDonald’s standards.
  • Maintain safety, security, and profitability during the shift.
  • Communicate with the next Shift Manager to prepare them for their shift.
  • Meet targets set for the shift and assist in meeting Department goals.
  • Manage inventory, daily maintenance, and cleanliness.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and food safety.
  • Handle scheduling and manage the crew.
  • Train new employees and enhance existing skills.

Requirements

  • Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible schedule and willingness to have fun while working.
  • Must be 18 years or older to be considered for management positions.
