Shift Manager
About the role
Shift Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience on every visit. They provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. Shift Managers handle various tasks such as planning for each shift, monitoring performance, enforcing safety and security protocols, communicating with the next Shift Manager, and managing inventory and crew.
Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor shifts to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Maintain cleanliness and quality standards across the restaurant.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and internal communication protocols.
- Manage inventory levels and oversee daily maintenance activities.
- Train and supervise the restaurant staff to enhance their skills and performance.
- Communicate effectively with the next Shift Manager to facilitate smooth handovers.
- Meet and exceed departmental and individual performance targets.
- Handle exceptional customer service situations and resolve issues promptly.
- Oversee safety measures and security protocols to protect both customers and employees.
- Schedule staff to optimize resource allocation and meet operational needs.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess previous leadership experience, preferably within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting. Positive team player attitude and a flexible schedule are essential. Passion for the fast-paced environment and a commitment to exceptional customer service are required. Applicants must be 18 years or older.
Qualifications
While not specified, a high school diploma or equivalent is typically required. Strong organizational and communication skills are crucial, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Previous management experience is preferred but not mandatory.
