Shift Manager
About the role
Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. They provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. Shift Managers handle various tasks such as shift planning, performance monitoring, safety and security oversight, and communication between shifts.
Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor shifts to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with McDonald’s standards in areas like food safety, inventory management, and daily maintenance.
- Manage crew and other managers to achieve departmental goals.
- Communicate effectively with the next shift manager to prepare for their shift.
- Meet and exceed shift targets.
- Handle food safety, internal communication, inventory management, daily maintenance, cleanliness, quality food production, exceptional customer service, safety, and security.
- Train new employees as needed.
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage a flexible schedule.
- Must be 18 years or older to qualify as a manager.
Qualifications

Skills
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with restaurant management software are beneficial.
