Shift Manager

About the role

The role involves leading shifts in a McDonald’s restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. This franchisee is a separate entity from McDonald’s USA and is solely responsible for employment matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts weekly, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience.
• Provide leadership to the crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high Quality, Service, and Cleanliness standards.
• Monitor performance during the shift, take necessary actions to ensure compliance with McDonald’s standards, and manage safety, security, and profitability.
• Communicate with the next Shift Manager to assist in preparing them for their shift.
• Meet targets during your shift and support your assigned Departments in achieving their goals.
• May be responsible for Food Safety, Internal Communication, Inventory Management, Daily Maintenance and Cleanliness, Managing Crew, Quality Food Production, Exceptional Customer Service, Safety and Security, Scheduling, and Training.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience, preferably within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• A positive attitude and a passion for working in the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
• A flexible schedule and the ability to have fun while performing the job.
• Must be 18 years or older to qualify as a manager in a corporate-owned McDonald’s restaurant.

Qualifications

Education through Archways to Opportunity, including opportunities to earn a High School degree, college tuition assistance, and English classes as a second language.
